The intervention consisted of a series of tutoring sessions which aimed to strengthen students’ reading and mathematics skills. Using a Difference-in-Differences approach, the study concludes that there is a marginally significant positive effect of the tutoring sessions on students’ performance. The results also indicate that individual and schools-level characteristics are associated with learning outcomes, and that the intervention may affect students differently depending on their baseline abilities.
