Ítem Efectos de las intervenciones en transporte público en el mercado inmobiliario : el caso del tranvía de Ayacucho-Medellín(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Flórez Cano, Lina María; Cardona Aguilar, Juan Sebastián; Muñoz Mora, Juan CarlosThe Ayacucho tramway is one of the most recent transportation infrastructure in Medellín. This study has a review of the mechanisms that, according to the academic literature, cause changes in the supply or demand of agents in the real estate market, after the provision of transportation infrastructure. In addition, a hedonic prices model is estimated to determine the effects caused by the tramway in its areas of influence in commune nine of Medellín, Buenos aires. The results show a significant increase in the price of real estate adjacent to the project, as well as a change in the sector's infrastructure, as properties with smaller areas begin to prevail.Ítem Electric public transport vehicle with composite material body diagnostic - User safety(EDP Sciences, 2018-01-01) Escobar M.; Cadena D.; Francisco Castañeda L.; Universidad EAFIT. Departamento de Ingeniería Mecánica; Estudios en Mantenimiento (GEMI)The project contemplated the elaboration of modules of composite material, with which a bus body of less weight was built, compared with the traditional kind, and adapted for the chassis that are currently being used in the city. The structure was prepared for the evaluation of the security space of the future users. The panels were instrumented with different sensors and configured to the conditions of the test by means of a data acquisition system. The test was carried out following the procedure of regulation 66 of the UNECE. The results obtained demonstrated the feasibility of using this type of bodywork in public transport. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.Ítem Joint optimisation of operation and maintenance policies in an urban ropeway transport systems context(Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., 2019-01-01) Martinod R.M.; Bistorin O.; Castañeda L.; Rezg N.; Universidad EAFIT. Departamento de Ingeniería Mecánica; Estudios en Mantenimiento (GEMI)Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to propose a stochastic optimisation model for integrating service and maintenance policies in order to solve the queuing problem and the cost of maintenance activities for public transport services, with a particular focus on urban ropeway system. Design/methodology/approach: The authors adopt the following approaches: a discrete-event model that uses a set of interrelated queues for the formulation of the service problem using a cost-based expression; and a maintenance model consisting of preventive and corrective maintenance actions, which considers two different maintenance policies (periodic block-type and age-based). Findings: The work shows that neither periodic block-type maintenance nor an age-based maintenance is necessarily the best maintenance strategy over a long system lifecycle; the optimal strategy must consider both policies. Practical implications: The maintenance policies are then evaluated for their impact on the service and operation of the transport system. The authors conclude by applying the proposed optimisation model using an example concerning ropeway systems. Originality/value: This is the first study to simultaneously consider maintenance policy and operational policy in an urban aerial ropeway system, taking up the problem of queuing with particular attention to the unique requirements public transport services. © 2019, Emerald Publishing Limited.
