(Universidad EAFIT, 2017) Calle Vásquez, Mariana; Vásquez Ochoa, Andrés Miguel
This work has as an objective, to establish the expressive function through painting, as a way of understanding the development of the child in its context -- Following up a tour through the conceptions of both concepts, emotional state, artistic development and the constant relationship they have had during time -- Taking into account classic authors like Piaget and Vygotsky, as well as experiments that have been implemented -- The concepts such as the use of color, the emotions, the feelings and the intensity among other factors and the relation there is between these aspects and the concept of expression and development affect the production of the art -- Resulting in the fact that the concept or most significant dimension of the expressive function in children is the size of the drawing in the page and this matches evolutionarily with the perception the child has of his or her space in the world -- The children tested during this work are in the state were they starting to become real persons leaving behind their early childhood which backs up Paget’s theory of evolution, leaving behind a state of selfishness and narcissism that they had not far ago -- Starting to search for their place in the world, they are beginning to be

Mente extendida y trabajo : interacciones entre mente extendida y desempeño laboral en desarrolladores de software en Colombia
(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Pinto Matiz, Raul Camilo; Echeverri Álvarez, Jonathan
Objective. Explore the interactions between extended mind and job performance in a group of software developers in Colombia. Conceptual framework. Job performance is approached as all expected behavior for the improvement of organizational processes, its relation to the theory of extended mind as the involvement of external technological elements with the cognition of software developers, and its applicability for the enhancement of job performance. Method. A descriptive qualitative cross-sectional study is conducted, using a case study design based on structured interviews with technology professionals currently working in organizations as software developers. Results. It was found that, based on the collected information so far, it is possible to affirm that, as mentioned by the authors Clark & Chalmers (1998), in areas related to software development, there are expressions of the concept of extended mind, where the boundaries of the mind (understood as the entity responsible for higher cognitive processes) do not stop at the walls of the skull or the skin, but rather there are a series of vehicles in the environment responsible for behavior generation. These vehicles are understood as physical objects that can be directly manipulated by the individual (phone, computer, smartwatch). Additionally, a relationship between extended mind and job performance is evidenced, showing that the tools constituted as work implements have a direct or indirect influence on job performance, but only in the utilization or non-utilization of the work elements for the optimal development of their job functions.

Motivaciones de compra de camisetas en jóvenes centeniales en la ciudad de Pereira, Colombia
(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Buitrago Bedoya, Omar; Koock Obando, Mauricio; Agudelo Calle, Alejandro; Londoño Vélez, Natalia
This research focuses on the motivations that influence the T-shirts purchasing decisions of young centennials. The perspectives and experiences of ten students from 14 to 19 years old, belonging to socioeconomic strata 1, 2 and 3, from nine Educational Institutions in Pereira, Colombia, are explored. The methodological approach is qualitative and exploratory, using semi-structured interviews to collect data. The results highlight the importance of comfort, durability and personal style needs as key factors in the choice of t-shirts for this demographic group. Likewise, the investigation into the emotional aspects allowed us to identify the sensation of sensory reward when acquiring a garment, linked to feelings of happiness and gratification. Socially, an identification with groups, a search for authenticity and an expression free of labels was observed, which becomes a significant purchase motivation. These findings reveal a complex intersection of motivations that guide the purchasing decisions of the population studied.
