Ítem Compensación ejecutiva : un caso aplicado(Universidad EAFIT, 2018) Calderón Arango, Sandra Milena; Sabogal Florido, Sandra Isabel; Téllez Falla, Diego FernandoExecutive compensation has as its main objective to align the interests of the executives of a company with its shareholders in order to solve the basic problem of the Agency present in a contract: the natural tendency of the Agent (the executive), motivated by his own interests, not to act for the benefit of the Principal (the shareholders). The use of incentives is then of great importance, since through them, influence is generated in executives' decisions conditioned on results. The purpose of this paper is to describe the executive compensation in the case of a company in Colombia, comparing with industry peers in the US. The conclusion reached is that, effectively, the remuneration and incentives of the executives are a useful tool to align their interests with the shareholders. In addition, it is manifest that there is no ideal amount or ratio to establish such incentives; this mix responds to each type of business.Ítem Diseño de un proceso de gestión del desarrollo del personal en una concesionaria vial colombiana en el marco de una gestión integral por procesos(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Agudelo Sánchez, Angie Lorena; Hernández López, Juan David; Giraldo Hernández, Gina MaríaThis study aims to structure a proposal for the staff development process, with scope for performance evaluation and job training threads. This study begins with a brief historical overview of evaluation, revealing that evaluative practices have been incorporated into organizations since the 18th century and have evolved considerably over time in a constant quest for precision and effectiveness. Through a literature review, theoretical foundations of performance evaluation are explored, along with their practical implications in the workplace. To achieve the objective, a qualitative study is conducted, collecting data through semi-structured interviews. The data collected and analyzed suggest that, although there is a perception of the usefulness of performance evaluation, factors such as subjectivity, lack of knowledge among human resource management professionals, the role of the leader, and emotions with negative connotations hinder its adoption. Additionally, this experience highlights the need for organizations to rethink evaluative practices and review their organizational structures and cultures to promote participation and the successful achievement of performance evaluation goals.Ítem The influence of the upper echelons in the return on the assets of companies that make up part of the non-cyclical consumer goods and services economic sector(Universidad EAFIT, 2017-10-31) Antonini Bortoluzzi, Daiane; Jiménez Franco, Maryely Andrea; Aparecido Silva, Silvio; Lunkes, Rogério João; Universidad Federal de Santa Catarina; Universidade Federal do ParanáÍtem Rediseño de evaluación de desempeño para los líderes de producción de la empresa Co&Tex S.A.S.(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Ramírez Rojas, Lina Marcela; Betancur Hurtado, Carlos Mario
