    For those individuals responsible of designing the academic programs -both in undergraduate careers as in masters and specialization programs- it is essential for them to respond appropriately at the pertinence of the rising academic program designed for modern day society, individuals and the productive sector -- Furthermore, to collect the precise information and data, as well as responding to this triple pertinence mentioned before, is not an easy task to perform, since we are talking about qualitative specialized information -- Therefore, this thesis paper from the Master in Applied Economics Program, proposes an Information Instrument Collector, that will be useful for those responsible of academic program design, in order to be able to answer the questions about pertinence -- As a result, this instrument was already tested in the redesign process of the Marketing Specialization Program of UNIVERSIDAD EAFIT -- Finally, it is important to note that the educational pertinence and the economy are closely related: if the human capital of a certain region has a better quality and is educated according to the needs of the productive sectors, it will be more competitive and innovative, and will contribute to the economic and social development of that region
