    Homeland History books for school use contributed to instil abstract and hard to understand concepts such as those of Homeland and Nation -- Their contents, regarded as useful for the civil performance of citizens, constituted the pieces that assembled a historicity regime and homeland representations -- In their elaboration, criterions such as past knowledge, that were certified by their authors more than their banner adscription, had influence -- It can be said that those texts had the purpose of creating consensus about the past and future of the recent republican formation, instead of going deeper in the gap left by the Colombian Nineteenth Century partisan rivalries
