This paper analyzes the impact of the implementation of Non-Conventional Renewable Energy sources, NCRE, through indicators such as CO2 emissions and the Multidimensional Energy Poverty Index that helps to meet the Sustainable Development Goals, in the access to clean energy in populations belonging to Non-Interconnected Zones - specifically in Sipí - Chocó. Using DANE, UN and Promigas methodologies, key indicators of carbon dioxide emissions and energy poverty are estimated. Focused on the Chocó municipality of Sipí, with the estimation of different scenarios, it was found that the installation of NCRE projects - Solar Photovoltaic and Hydroelectric - significantly reduces CO2 emissions by 89% and 92% respectively and reduces both the intensity of energy poverty by 38% and energy poverty as such by 20.9%.

The present prefeasibility study analyzes the technical, economic, environmental, and social feasibility of implementing solar energy generation systems in public educational institutions in the department of Quindío. Currently, these institutions primarily rely on conventional energy sources, leading to high operational costs and significantly contributing to the carbon footprint. In this context, the transition to renewable energy emerges as a key strategy to enhance energy efficiency, reduce costs, and promote environmental sustainability in the education sector. The research includes a detailed assessment of energy consumption in 25 educational institutions located in 11 municipalities of the department, aiming to establish the technical, regulatory, and financial requirements for the implementation of photovoltaic systems. Through a market analysis, suppliers, costs associated with the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the systems, as well as viable financing mechanisms, are identified to ens
