Análisis del conflicto felino-humano en la Orinoquia
(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Barrera Pedraza, Laura Milena; Vargas Sáenz, Mario Enrrique
The felines are in danger of extinction due to deforestation, pollution, the fragmentation of their habitat, hunting, illegal trafficking and conflicts with humans when they attack domestic animals just for survival, for this reason it is intended to publicize the origin, the causes of the conflict and the actions that public and private institutions have developed in different regions of the country, in order to mitigate the conflict and harmonize the coexistence between the productive sectors and nature. Likewise, with the aim of having a context of the current state of the feline-human conflict in the Orinoquia, an analysis of cases is carried out through the complaints reported to the environmental authority Corporinoquia, said analysis allowed to identify the execution of bad livestock practices on the part of the farmers, therefore, through a bibliographic review some management recommendations are given directed to the ranchers of the region. This document, in addition to being informative, aims to create and strengthen capacities in the community regarding the conservation of natural ecosystems, through the transmission of the importance of the conservation of felines in the Orinoquia; and the implementation of anti-predatory measures to harmonize the feline-human conflict and improve the productivity of the livestock and agricultural sector in the region. Finally, the story of a puma victim of the feline-human conflict is exposed, who was rescued from Tame, Arauca, under the premise of generating spaces for socialization of this conflict.
