Publicación De la antigua amnistía y sus actuales (im)posibilidades : el olvido en Homero e Ishiguro = On ancient amnisty and its current (im)possibilities : oblivion in Homer and Ishiguro(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Lara Bedoya, Eddy Eusebeio; Pino Posada, Juan PabloThis article will deploy a hermeneutical and comparative exercise that allows to reach a characterization and construction of meaning on the concept of oblivion, in the form of “not remembering misfortunes” (Loreaux, 2008, pág. 149). This notion will be revised in the last rhapsody of the Homeric epic Odyssey (Homero, 2020), in such a way that it can be applied as a contrast to the narrative of The buried giant (Ishiguro, 2017). With this, correlations will be identified, in agreement or opposition, about the notion of amnesty that appears evoked in Ishiguro's work, reflexing about its functionality and analyzing as well some tensions that the idea implies on human relations thematized in the modern novel.
