Impacto de los lineamientos nacionales para la gestión integral de la desnutrición en la mortalidad en menores de 5 años en Antioquia 2020-2023

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are emphatic in demanding that all countries mitigate hunger and child malnutrition. Poor nutrition, whether due to excess or defect, results not only in generating physical problems but also in cognitive development, especially when they occur in the first five years of life. A society that directly or indirectly prevents the physical or intellectual growth and development of citizens is threatening its own subsistence. The goals for each SDG imply joint action from the Nation and the territory for their implementation. In Colombia, within Objective 2: Zero Hunger, the goal is to reduce the mortality rate due to malnutrition from 6.8 (per 100,000 boys and girls under 5 years of age) in 2018, to less than 5.0 in 2030 (DNP, 2018). . To this end, it has regulated the right to health defined by Statutory Law 1751 of 2015 through guidelines, such as Resolution 2350 of 2020.
