Caracterización de criterios de muestreo de Megaptera novaeangliae en el hemisferio sur americano para la elección del modelado poblacional
(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Londoño Gallego, Juan Andrés; Catatño López, Alexandra
This paper focuses on characterizing the sampling criteria in population studies of humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) in the American Southern Hemisphere and Southern Ocean, examining key aspects such as sampling periods, type of modeling, sampling employed, geographic region, and potential impacts on population study areas such as migration, abundance, and population estimation; with the objective of understanding the current status of the study of the species and identifying factors that influence population modeling and the establishment of appropriate management and conservation measures. The methodology included a systematic literature review following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, searching Scopus and PubMed and applying inclusion and exclusion criteria to select 67 articles published between 2010 and 2023. A matrix was constructed with bibliographic information characterizing each study according to type of sampling, temporal factor, modeling, geography and impact, identifying the most frequent data in each section. Finally, a decision tree was constructed based on the information in the matrix, suggesting the most appropriate type of model according to the data and methodology used in the population study, acting as a practical guide to facilitate the choice of the appropriate population modeling, considering sampling criteria and other relevant factors identified in the systematic review.

Impacto de las actividades humanas en el transporte de sedimentos fluviales hacia los océanos : perspectiva desde el río Magdalena
(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Vargas Gómez, Juliana; N/A
Anthropogenic activities increasingly exert greater control over the production, transport, and accumulation of sediments in river basins. The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of human activities on sediment transport from rivers to oceans, focusing on the Magdalena River, Colombia’s most important river basin. Human activities have heightened sediment transport, especially in regions dominated by deforestation and agriculture, as seen in the Magdalena River. Globally, while reservoirs retain sediments and reduce transportation to coastal areas in some regions, in others, the impact of deforestation, agriculture, and mining increases the riverine sediment load. Studying variations in sediment transport is essential in the Anthropocene, an era in which human activity is the main agent of environmental change. The use of models like BQART enables estimation and prediction of changes in sediment transport, providing data for resource management and biodiversity conservation in affected areas. In conclusion, the results of this review highlight the need for public policies that mitigate human impact on river systems, promoting sustainable practices to protect both river and coastal ecosystems as well as water quality and at-risk habitats.

Industria de contenido para adultos : protección de derechos laborales, vacío jurídico que tiene esta modalidad de trabajo
(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Barth Mejía, Manuela; Gallego Valencia, Catalina; Múnera Posada, Armando
This monograph is based on the lack of labor protection for workers on virtual adult content platforms and webcam models, as well as the legal gaps in this modality. Throughout this, the existing jurisprudence on the subject in the last 4 years will be analyzed, based on the Constitutional Court's Milestone ruling ST-109 of 2021, in which important concepts for webcam models in a state of pregnancy are expanded and developed. In addition, it will go through international norms and principles to then land on the most specific contender for national regulations to end up locating ourselves in the analysis of the lack of protection of webcam models and workers of these platforms in Medellín. The work modalities that include broad and diverse activities will be identified, not only focused on sexual development on virtual adult content platforms, so that way an analogy can be achieved in the hiring models for greater labor protection without neglecting the minimum benefits for the employer.

Proceso de ASC - OPTIMIZACION DEL PROCESO DE FABRICACION, PRODUCCION Y RECICLADO DE LA ARCILLA INDUSTRIAL DE PROTOTIPADO CLAY-FASE 2
(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Acosta, Juan; Franco, Natalia; Betancur, Sofía; Agredo, Andrés; Sierra, Luis; Universidad EAFIT
“Industrial or prototyping clays” (Industrial Clay) are materials malleable and moldable to make three-dimensional models; and offer great versatility; since they can be worked either manually (sculpted) or digital (CNC routed); and due to their properties it is possible to use and reuse them again, without having to waste material or discard already made models during the process. The present project; For its part, it aims to standardize a production and recycling process of this material and take it to a larger scale in order to allow a much higher production and recycling volume. Through workflows and methods to industrialize and optimize processes. All the above with the purpose of increasing the capacity and quality of the current production and recycling of clay. Thus allowing you to reach great scales.

Proceso de ASC - USOS Y APLICACIONES DE LA ARCILLA DE PROTOTIPADO-CLAY EN EL ECOSISTEMA DE MANUFACTURA DIGITAL CAD-CAM-CAE DE LA ESCUELA DE INGENIERIAS.
(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Giraldo, Sebastían; Martínez, Alejandro; Sierra, Luis; Universidad EAFIT
“Industrial or prototyping clays” (Industrial Clay) are materials malleable and moldable to make three-dimensional models and for their properties it is possible to use them and re-use them again, without having to waste material or discard already made models during the process. For his Constitutive characteristics offer great versatility; since they can be worked both manually (sculpted) or digitally (CNC routing among others). From the latter, and as part of the final clay implementation process in the laboratories of the EAFIT university; it is necessary to determine the possibilities of application and use of the material; in the ecosystem of digital manufacturing of numerical control technologies or 4.0 (CAD/CAM/CAE): Robot, Lathes, Milling Machines, Routers, Cutting Machines, etc. In order to deploy its potential in other applications that are still have not been explored. Likewise, it is intended to generate the bases regarding parameters, considerations and variables to take into account for the material in these processes and their future applications.
