It will also monitor the level of satisfaction of customers and identify the causes of improvement; and, as a final stage, constitute a PMO that helps it manage its portfolios and increase the earnings in costs, quality and customer satisfaction achieved. The present degree work proposal describes the design of a PMO for a medium company of the Colombian energy sector, with the purpose of resolving its concerns about unification of processes, metrics and controls in the project management. The level of maturity was measured using the OPM3® model and, based on it, using the definition of PMO established by Hill (2004), the most suitable one was chosen; additionally, based on Garnica and López (2015), their mission, vision and functions were established and the factors of success and evolution of the PMO were defined.Ítem Plan para la implementación de la Unidad de Gestión de Proyectos definida por la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad de Antioquia(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Ramírez Jiménez, Sara; Tobar Guinand, Jose MauricioThe Faculty of Engineering of the University of Antioquia has identified issues in the management of its projects, therefore initiated the process of structuring a Project Management Unit, tailored to its needs, which allows it to make a strategic management of its different types of projects and promote a project-oriented culture that goes along with the strategic objectives of the Institution. Through the development of the present degree work, the level of maturity of the organization is determined, from the application of the maturity model OPM3, and based on its results and the characteristics of the organization, the most appropriate type of project office is selected, proposing relevant improvements to the Project Management Unit promoted by the Faculty. Additionally, an agile methodology for its implementation in the Institution is proposed.
