Publicación Estudio de prefactibilidad para la fabricación de mobiliarios para gatos en la ciudad de Pereira(Universidad EAFIT, 2026) Rico Millán, Lowis Douglas; Gómez Salazar, Elkin ArcesioThe present pre-feasibility study aims to evaluate the viability of Minnino, an entrepreneurial venture dedicated to the desing and manufacturing of cat furniture in the city of Pereira. The research is grounded in the growing need for solutions that integrate animal welfare, functional design, and sustainability within a pet market that exhibits sustained growth both globally and in Colombia. The analysis is structured across different dimensions: the market study, to identify consumption trends and client segmentation; the technical evaluation, which considers design and manufacturing processes; the legal and enviromental analysis, which reviews applicable regulations and sustainable practices in material usage; and the financial study, which examines the economic viability and profitability of the project. The methodology combines the review of academic sources and industry reports with the collection of primary data through surveys and interviews with cat guardians (owners) and stakeholders in the pet sector. This approach seeks to determine the feasibility of the initiative, anticípate risks, and propose mitigation strategies, thereby establishing Minnino as an innovative, sustainable, and competitive proposal in the Colombian pet product market.
