Factores que influyen en la conformación de organizaciones de la sociedad civil lideradas por población migrante proveniente de Venezuela, en respuesta a la situación humanitaria de la migración venezolana en las ciudades de Cartagena y Barranquilla
(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Bernett Zurita, Carlos José; Araque, Lenis Yelin
The research compares the factors influencing the formation of CSOs led by Venezuelan migrants in Cartagena and Barranquilla, Colombia. Using a qualitative methodology based on a multiple case study, it analyzes the differences in the emergence of these organizations in both cities. The study defines CSOs as organized, voluntary, and private entities whose purpose is to promote social change. Their formation may be determined, on the one hand, by territorial dynamics, which include urban conditions, the role of public institutions, the presence of NGOs, and the family and community networks of CSOs. On the other hand, the humanitarian situation of Venezuelan migration also exerts a significant influence.
