In this work, the ash generated in the clay atomization process in the ceramic industry was mixed in different proportions in the formulation of a lightweight concrete to produce prefabricated stone for lining walls, and in a paste formulation in the production process of BIIb ceramic tiles, according to NTC 919. The prefabricated obtained from the concrete added with the CE showed a compressive strength greater than 15 MPa and absorption less than 5%, using an ash mechanically activated with a grinding process. Also, ceramic tiles produced from CE exhibited optimal properties after sintering at 1140°C (flexural strength of 1485.22 N, ruptures modulus of 30.67 MPa, and average water absorption less than 10%). Therefore, the ash studied in this research can be harnessed in the production of BIIb ceramic tiles as an addition in the paste formula, and as a cement substitution in the production of lightweight concrete.
