The design of the PMO seeks to improve project management and improve the use of resources to ensure the provision of quality services to customers and / or users. The process began with a detailed analysis of the company's current situation, followed by the identification of the main problems and areas for improvement. The objectives of the PMO were then defined and the processes, policies and procedures necessary for its implementation were followed. Tools for project management were designed, such as the definition of roles and responsibilities and the implementation of a monitoring and control system. In addition, the need for the necessary human resources of the company is presented, in order to ensure the proper implementation and operation of the PMO. In conclusion, the implementation of a Project Management Office (PMO) will improve project management and optimize the use of business resources, which will result in a better service delivery to customers and an increase in the efficiency and profitability of the company.Ítem Diseño de una oficina de gestión de proyectos para el área de tecnología de Grupo BIOS(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Chalarca Calle, Alejandro; Cañas Guerra, Ana Mercedes; Henao Arango, María CeciliaThis project proposed the implementation of a project office for the technology area of Grupo BIOS S.A.S., in order to mitigate the current risks and inconveniences that arise in the development of projects in the company and in internal customer service. With the amount of requirements that are presented to the area and the challenges that have arisen in its execution, an analysis was carried out through a survey to the personnel of the technology area directly involved in the company's projects, with the purpose of reaching an analysis of the level of maturity in the area's project management and to have an accurate selection of the project office to be implemented that best suits the business. With this survey it was possible to measure the level of standardization and the perspective of the respondents about good practices in projects; then, the results were consolidated and the information was analyzed to identify the opportunities for improvement and the points that are strengths and should be projected to optimize the process and leverage the rest of the processes that need adjustments and intervention. Finally, it was proposed to implement a project office according to the results found in the survey, in order to define the roles and its structure.Ítem Oficina de gestión de proyectos (PMO) para una empresa mediana del sector eléctrico colombiano(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Bedoya Vásquez, Melissa; Guinand Tobar, José MauricioThe current situation of the rapid growth and expansion of Ingema SA makes it necessary to create and develop a Project Management Office (PMO), which will allow it to monitor and control its projects. It will also monitor the level of satisfaction of customers and identify the causes of improvement; and, as a final stage, constitute a PMO that helps it manage its portfolios and increase the earnings in costs, quality and customer satisfaction achieved. The present degree work proposal describes the design of a PMO for a medium company of the Colombian energy sector, with the purpose of resolving its concerns about unification of processes, metrics and controls in the project management.
