    Given the new economic philosophy in which companies begin to take actions framed within sustainability to obtain competitive advantages, the prefeasibility analysis of the implementation of lithium batteries in replacement of lead-acid batteries for equipment of Material handling in logistics due to the current problems it presents in terms of maintenance costs, load methodology, useful life, gas emission, infrastructure and energy efficiency. To reach conclusions that allow to determine whether or not the technology is implemented in logistics, the UNIDO methodology was used to establish the financial, market, environmental, risk, technical and political and legal conditions analysis for the implementation of the technology.
