    In this article we intend to elaborate a speech analysis, based on the critical speech analysis by Teun van Dijk, of the text "De porqué sí se les puede pegar a las mujeres!!!" (Why it is possible to hit women) by Mauricio Navas Talero, published in a well know magazine of national printing. The stated column was written regarding a public scandal: Bolillo Gómez, the Colombia's national soccer team ex-trainer, hit a woman outside a bar at Bogotá. Want we pretend to do with the analysis is to reveal, based on Navas, the misogynist discursive practices that are widespread in the mass media before a scene that turns, rather than into news, into an event of important consequences.
