    This work focused on designing a student housing business model in Pereira city within the area of influence close to the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (UTP) following the theory of Osterwalder & Pigneur (2011) and other authors of the strategy. Initially, information is collected based on surveys and interviews, providing a clear view of the market. Then the business model canvas was used to identify the key components, the environment was analyzed thanks to the contrast between Porter's forces (2008) and the forces of the proposed model and a SWOT(Osterwalder & Pigneur, 2011; Maroto, 2007) analysis was carried out evaluating the internal and external factors that affect the model. All this in order to propose a strategic roadmap for the implementation of the project. This work provides bases to apply business model theories from a real entrepreneurship case. In this way, the development of this master's work minimizes possible risks for the implementation of the student housing project.
