    Direccionar la sostenibilidad desde la junta directiva: un imperativo estratégico de empresas líderes en el mundo

    El propósito de esta investigación es demostrar la importancia de direccionar la sostenibilidad desde la Junta Directiva, dado el impacto que esta tiene en la materialización de la estrategia del largo plazo y en el modelo de negocio de las compañías -- Con base en el estudio teórico y de las prácticas que existen en empresas del mundo, se propone la generación de un modelo de gobierno corporativo que proporcione la arquitectura necesaria para lograr un adecuado direccionamiento de la sostenibilidad desde la Junta Directiva -- Este modelo propone adecuar los elementos que en la práctica han demostrado ser determinantes para un óptimo desempeño del órgano colegiado y sus funciones principales hacia la gestión que en materia de sostenibilidad corresponde a la Junta Directiva según su responsabilidad fiduciaria y la mega tendencia hacia la sostenibilidad, orientando a la organización hacia el cumplimiento de los objetivos estratégicos de la misma y hacia una cultura que permita lograrlos -- Al ver la necesidad que en la práctica tiene para las Juntas Directivas el brindar una ruta clara que oriente los pasos o hitos a lograr para tener un adecuado direccionamiento de la sostenibilidad, se propone el siguiente camino: 1- Lograr un pensamiento “mindset” estratégico desde la cabeza; 2- Asegurar el liderazgo y conocimiento 3- Participar en la definición del diagnóstico y el método de indicadores; 4- Efectuar la gestión adecuada; 5- Lograr un reporte y comunicación efectiva con los grupos de interés de la organización; y finalmente lograr un monitoreo orientado por la visión dual de la sostenibilidad

    Gender gaps in management positions have been justified by the theories of glass roofs, cement floor and slippery floor -- This work seeks to determine how the relationships of women with their own gender become an obstacle or a facilitator in their access and permanence to leadership positions -- These gaps are justified by causes and actions inherent to them, such as relationships and the quality that is built between them, the perception of male and female work teams, the vision of gender discrimination in work environments and the strategies they use to build links and destroy intragender obstacles -- The work deepens relationships of sorority and envy -- Through interviews with women with management positions in Antioquia, there were few cases where they recognize mentors and important female leaders, while they recognize strategies that sorority can use to reduce gender gaps

    La innovación para la sostenibilidad en seis empresas grandes colombianas pertenecientes al G12

    This thesis analyzes the relationship between innovation and sustainability in six major Colombian companies that are part of the G12. The G12 is a group of 12 companies convened by Bancolombia to share, learn, and create synergies that accelerate sustainability among the participating organizations. Using a qualitative approach based on interviews with business leaders, key patterns, skills, and methodologies were identified that facilitate the integration of these strategic areas. The findings reveal that, although the connection between innovation and sustainability is emerging, it is not always intentional or structured. However, when these areas are aligned, they generate significant benefits, such as triple-impact solutions, strategy acceleration, and the creation of long-term sustainable value. The study also underscores the importance of leadership, soft skills, and systemic approaches in implementing initiatives, while identifying opportunities to strengthen collaboration within the G12 framework. Finally, recommendations are proposed to overcome existing barriers and enhance the impact of this connection in the Colombian business environment.

    The present exploratory character studio is based in processes of changes in productive organizations, involves four highly significant organizations of different sectors of Medellin -- These Organizations have entered in processes of change, where the workers played an important role as the participants of the process and of the practices carried out; emphasizing the participation and integration of the different hierarchical levels of the organization in the planning of organizational activities of short and/or longterm -- Prominent aspects of the organizations are emphasized, certain intervention practices, basic elements of the methodology, a short analysis of the finds, activities that carried out such organizations with the objective to obtain the commitment of employees and executive -- In some cases they reference the coaching as methodology used in the processes of change -- In general, is observed that the changes and the success of the same are part of the "culture organizational" -- It is not a model or a guide the ones that provide the success, they are many and diverse the applications, evaluations and interpretations that are given in the processes of change -- A fundamental aspect is that in the successful changes the leaders made a strategic role

    Responsabilidad social empresarial y el desempeño financiero en las firmas para América Latina : el efecto del género en la junta directiva

    Recent advances in business organizational forms and the importance of corporate social responsibility have changed organizations' approaches to diversity and the inclusion of women on boards of directors. This article examines the literature on women's participation in the labor market (Gasparini et al., 2015) and their participation on boards of directors in Latin America analyze their impact on firms' economic performance. The analysis includes an assessment of the economic behavior of major companies in Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and Peru using statistical clustering models and principal component analysis. Additionally, econometric models are employed to establish a causal relationship between the profile of women in leadership positions and economic performance measured through CSR. Different findings were obtained for each country, emphasizing the significance of women's experience and education in attaining leadership roles in these countries.
