Conceptual reference framework: the conceptual reference makes a journey from the approach to the definition of leadership based on authors such as Enciso (2012); González (2015); Martínez, (2012); Páez, & Perilla, (2012) up to the leadership styles according to Alles (2005) and competences for the management of educational institutions, going through the types of leadership, antecedents of leadership, leadership theories, instruments for the measurement of leadership, Leadership in the sources of power in organizations, authority, power and leadership based on Cabrera & Zayas, (2006) leadership and leadership in organizations, attitude an approach to its definition, components of attitude and, leadership styles and competences for the management of educational institutions. Method: quantitative research with a descriptive and cross-sectional approach. A case study based on the application of self-administered questionnaires to employees in the middle positions of a family company in the educational sector in the city of Barranquilla, focused on three categories: Belief in the middle management, feelings regarding the middle managers and behaviors potentials towards the middle management, developing in three phases; the initial phase consists in the identification of the state of the art in relation to the existing theories on leadership and the performance of functions in middle positions; the intermediate phase, consists of a fieldwork based on the design of the instrument, approach with the subjects participating in the research and data collection through self-administered questionnaires and the final phase, where it is tabulated, an analysis is made statistical information and the conclusions resulting from the analysis of the information.Ítem Caracterización del liderazgo efectivo según el rombo filosófico de Renée Bédard : fundamentación de diseño de cargos directivos en una multinacional de servicios hidráulicos(Universidad EAFIT, 2018) Noreña Bustamante, Daniel; López Gallego FranciscoA proposal to identify leadership related characteristics is presented, it contrasts the vision of different hierarchical levels for a specific executive post. This study is based on the company’s expectations and strategies being made globally every day, especially as regions in development takes a more important role in its. Although challenges are present in teams all over the globe Colombia exhibits one of the more interesting ones due to its operating context, lack of a headmaster, team diversity and the need of a director guidance. Leadership behavior and characterization has been studied all over history, normally via case study methodology of failure and success experiences, which follow a pure functionalist view. But a new approach is proposed base on Bédard’s philosophical rhombus, where the identification of leadership conceptions for a hypothetical Colombian Team leader is obtained from the hierarchy lower level and the superior one. An opinion-based methodology is then proposed founded on team integrands conception of leadership, including the superior and inferior hierarchy levels expectations. Founded on Bedard’s philosophical rhombus and it´s four being dimensions. This methodology was implemented on the company previously described. As result, a series of leadership focus characteristics and conceptions are obtained, becoming valuable information that can be used in two ways. Method: It is a study that aims to describe the behaviors of resistance to change, accompanied by the analysis of the results by the researcher. Considering that the investigation will take place at the current moment of the phenomenon, the design will be cross-cutting. The research will take place in a Health Service Provider Institution (HPI) with a group of people already selected and the object will be studied in this context, therefore, the method used will be the case study. Conclusions: There´s a great lack in the communication of the process of change, which can be rooted by differences in managerial styles. The organization´s seen as a managerial function, finding that can represent the paternalistic style of previous management. One of the sources of resistance to change is that it represents a loss of the affective bond. Communication make resistance behaviors ''active-expressive''. Additionally, the thesis highlights the permanence causes or withdraw intentions, the retention strategies, both monetary and non-monetary ones, and the conditions that facilitate or hinder retention of 10 workers interviewed. The research was carried out at different times: in the problem statement, in the research of different works associated with the subject, throught telephone interviews with 10 participants and in the consolidation and analysis of results. Finally, conclusions were generated based on the analysis of the results and the contrast with the theoretical framework, which may serve as input to the company to strengthen the retention strategies implemented for its workers. Analyze the role of the human management area in the process of adaptation to the organizational changes derived from the Covid-19 pandemic perceived by a group of workers in the mining sector in Colombia. Method. A qualitative descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out; The research design was a case study based on semi-structured interviews with ten (10) employees with a minimum of two (2) years of service. Outcome. The data obtained allowed us to understand the human management function in the employee adaptation process, its fundamental contribution to facilitate the implementation of strategies, measures and actions aimed at mitigating this unexpected impact of Covid-19 in mining companies in Colombia. It is shown that human management as a strategic partner helped the compliance and implementation of corporate measures in employees. Conclusion. It was evidenced that not only the countries were not prepared for this pandemic, the organizations were not oblivious to this impact, and the mining companies who maintain a system of security controls in place in order to have the operational dynamics of their processes, although the employees They perceive that human management was important in the adaptation process, employees have noticed the decrease in human management leadership once the implementation stage has been reached, they are manifesting that they feel alone in the final part if it could be said of the adaptation process in the face of changes organizational problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.Ítem La función política como servicio a la comunidad(Universidad EAFIT, 1993) Espinal Castrillón, José; Universidad EAFIT
