We examine how FIFA's control and regulation of various aspects of global football impact competition and market dynamics. As a result, FIFA has exercised significant power, often limiting the entry of other organizations into the market through potentially abusive practices, in order to analyze the structure and scope of FIFA's influence on the governance of football at a global level. We explore how this organization has consolidated its control over the sport through the regulation of competitions and the allocation of financial resources.
