    The following work is inspired in the necessity of proposing good corporate governance practices, through unities of measurement taken from the analysis and interpretation of the “Código País” poll of 2017 -- Taking in consideration the fact this concept represents an emergent element not only in the financial world, but in business and international markets it has become one of the most talked about topics of the past years creating positive and negative effects inside their companies -- Furthermore, the document describes the disinclination to the topic, it´s controversial emerging in a conventional and familiar country like Colombia and the opportunities it´s application would represent in case it turns out to be useful and satisfactory to every department inside the companies -- Achieve a correct description of the models of corporate governance, its elements, good practices, downsides, its advantage in generating value to the companies in a particular case study applied to a Colombian city is a brief descriptive thread of what can be found in the research work exposed -- As a result of that, a theoretical framework is developed taking as center the elements that connect the work’s title, validating the methodology used, the results, the conclusions and recommendations
