    This paper aims to analyze the results of a research exercise that seeks to evaluate the feasibility of outsourcing the internal chemical laboratory currently operating in the company Aris Mining Marmato. By means of a descriptive methodology, it is intended to highlight the relevant aspects that help to make more financially profitable decisions. Performing a contextual analysis of the behavior of the world economy and the challenges faced by the mining sector in the environmental, socio-cultural and political spheres, the best scenario for the operation of the laboratory is identified, guaranteeing the quality of its services and response time. To determine the feasibility of the outsourcing development, this work proposed two proposals, in which the operation and investment costs of an outsourced laboratory by an external company, in this case SGS Colombia, were analyzed, and to compare the operation and investment costs of an internal laboratory, adapting both proposals to meet the demand of 15,000 samples per month, based on the project evaluation theories: environmental, market, technical, legal and financial-economic study.
