Publicación Los límites constitucionales de la libertad de cátedra en la evaluación de opiniones religiosas y no religiosas(Universidad EAFIT, 2026-05-27) Gómez-Rico, Yonatan Esneider; Gaviria Mira, Jorge JuliánThis research article examines the constitutional limits of academic freedom in higher education, specifically focusing on the assessment of students' religious and non-religious opinions. Through an analysis of the Colombian Constitutional Court's jurisprudence, it explores the tension between faculty autonomy in transmitting knowledge and students' fundamental rights, such as freedom of expression, conscience, and religion. The study argues that academic freedom is not an absolute right and finds an impassable boundary in indoctrination. It concludes that a violation of rights occurs when academic assessment criteria are conditioned on the adherence to or replication of the professor's ideological or religious stances, thereby displacing critical reasoning and undermining the autonomy and pluralism that must prevail in a university setting.Publicación Oportunidades laborales para mujeres musulmanas en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Pérez Londoño, Johana Katerine; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz AmparoThis research examines twenty cases of Colombian Muslim women, analyzing the social, political, labor, economic, religious, historical, cultural, and inclusion/exclusion contexts that influence their pursuit and positioning in the labor market. It also presents excerpts from their narratives to raise awareness and foster understanding of the challenges posed by prevailing societal paradigms regarding Islam—particularly those related to women in the workplace—and how these perceptions may impact their professional development. Furthermore, the study offers recommendations that could be considered to promote religious inclusion in the Colombian labor market.
