    Creer, planificar, actuar : una intervención conductual situada para fortalecer la autoeficacia y la planificación activa en jóvenes de la Comuna 13 de Medellín

    This case study presents the design and implementation of a boost-type behavioral intervention aimed at strengthening perceived self-efficacy and active planning among young members of the Sol de Medianoche group, part of the Corporación Habitante 13 in the city of Medellín. The intervention responds to the need to promote processes of agency and active planning within this youth group, which faced obstacles in sustaining autonomous initiatives over time. The methodological design integrated the COM-B model with BOOST-type strategies and implementation intentions, under an ecological approach to behavior. The intervention combined qualitative and quantitative tools in a mixed-methods design that included three diagnostic sessions and three strengthening sessions, prioritizing a participatory, playful, and culturally relevant approach. Among the main findings, the appropriation of planning tools by the group stands out, as well as the autonomous distribution of organizational roles and the execution of a session independently led by the young participants. Both active planning and self-efficacy proved to be particularly sensitive dimensions to change, reflected in greater confidence in their own ability to organize and carry out goal-oriented actions. This research suggests that brief interventions, when contextualized, co-created, and focused on strengthening specific skills, can generate significant transformations even over short periods—especially when they integrate different levels of influence and acknowledge the affective and symbolic dimensions of behavioral change.
