    This work focusses on the development of a methodology for the elaboration of the annual commercial income budget of Parque Arauco DCO, a company that develops and operates commercial real estate assets in Colombia. Within the methodology, processes and steps in budget-making are described, looking forward that in future iterations of the task, optimizations in time and workload could be achieved. For this purpose, it was examined the actual state of budgeting practices in Parque Arauco, identifying pain points and suggesting windows of improvement, based in academic literature and corporate trendsetters in financial practices.
