Publicación Modelo de análisis probabilístico para estimar los indicadores de calidad del servicio de energía eléctrica del Grupo EPM en el Departamento de Antioquia(Universidad EAFIT, 2018) Muñoz Franco, Juan Elvis; Hurtado Villegas, Andrés Mauricio; Gómez Salazar, Elkin ArcesioThe quality in the provision of electricity service in Colombia has been questioned in recent years -- In the end, this finger-pointing to the network operators of the country starts from a regulatory scheme that, in general terms, has not incentivized the necessary investments to guarantee the quality levels expected by the Energy and Gas Regulation Commission (CREG, by its Spanish spelling) -- In this sense, for the next tariff period (2018-2022), CREG proposes a new regulatory framework in which international indicators of the system's average quality are adopted, as well as indicators of individual quality, i.e., for each user of the energy service -- These indicators will be permanently evaluated according to the goals established in the regulation, in which the aim is to improve the average quality of the system by 34%; to the extent that the network operators of the country fail to comply with the proposed goals, they will be subject to a reduction in their operational revenues and the payment of compensations to the users of the service, derived from worsened individual quality indicators -- The purpose of this thesis is to assess in probabilistic terms the financial impact that can be generated by the entry into force of CREG 019 of 2017 resolution for the power distribution business of the EPM Group in the department of Antioquia -- Additionally, an incremental analysis is proposed that seeks to improve the financial perspectives for the organization, adopting new technologies and making strategic investments to improve and guarantee the sustainability of the quality indicators -- Finally, a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the risks associated with the proposed investments is carried out, in such a way that the final results of the model will serve as a guide for making the right decisions to address the quality problem in the best possible way of the energy service in the department of Antioquia
