Ítem Propuesta para la implementación del IPD (Integrated Project Delivery) en la construcción de proyectos de infraestructura pública en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2017) Quiceno Cardona, Mauricio Alberto; Botero Botero, Luis FernandoThe development of public projects is one of the main drivers of development of a country -- The construction of infrastructure in all areas, generates employment and the development of other economic chains, as well as the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants -- The traditional model of project delivery is characterized by generating situations of confrontation between the participants in the project in each of the phases -- This affects the results significantly, generating overcharges and delays, so that the execution time increases irretrievably by resorting to arbitration committees and the final decision on the project ends up in the hands of a judge -- For the aforementioned, the possibility of implementing IPD (Integrated Project Delivery) for the execution of public infrastructure projects is necessary, going from a traditional system in which confrontation occurs to one in which people, the systems and the technology, based on the principle of collaboration taking advantage of the experience and points of view of the participants, aligning the interests of each of the parties with the interests of the project in all its stages and linking in the early phase of design to the builder -- This proposal takes into account the concerns of the actors of the current model (entity officials and builders, among others) in order to establish their perceptions regarding the functioning of the current system -- It establishes the legal and cultural limitations for its implementation and allows for a revision of the different processes of selection of the state for the contracting of public works. Based on the information collected, it is proposed how to implement IPD as a method of delivering alternative public infrastructure projects
