    This article develops the need of knowledge about the legal status of Antioquia women teachers around the years 1903 to 1940, and everything that they had to do to practice their profession in a dignified way. This investigation will center in the historic context of those years, the value of the “Escuelas Normales de Señoritas”, the normativity of the time and the legal and social limitations that the women teachers had to face to practice their profession.

    Representaciones sociales de la maternidad en madres víctimas del conflicto armado colombiano

    The objective of this research work is to know the social representations of motherhood in victims of the Colombian military conflict, through semi-structured interviews. The social representations will be approached from the definition of Serge Moscovici, who argues that they have three dimensions: information, field of representations and attitude. In regard of motherhood, will be considerate previous research about the ways that has been conceived of motherhood over time and the motherhood as a phenomenon that varies across time, place and culture. This research is a descriptive and qualitative study with a case study design based on four individual and two group semi-structured interviews (as a couple) with four women victims of the Colombian military conflict between the ages of 46 and 82 from the city of Montería, Córdoba and the municipality Becerril, Cesar.
