Publicación Competencias blandas del director de proyectos : comparación entre la propuesta del PMI y el perfil egresado de la maestría de EAFIT(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) García Rueda, Laura Alejandra; Giraldo Uribe María Camila; López Gallego, Francisco DaríoPublicación Habilidades blandas de líderes de equipos de proyectos del sector construcción : factores diferenciales según metodología dream teams(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Peak Lemos, Suzanne; López Gallego, FranciscoFor this research the aim was to establish if there is a leadership style and soft skills self-perceived and perceived that are linked to the dream team managers of project teams of three companies in the construction sector of the Aburrá Valley. In order to achieve this purpose, a research with a qualitative descriptive dream team methodology through the multi-case study method was proposed. The tools used to obtain the information were the Blake and Mouton or Managerial Grid Leadership (1964) Styles Test, and the Managerial Skills Inventory (2013). The research question was: Is there a leadership style and self-perceived, and perceived soft skills linked to the dream team managers of three companies in the construction sector of the Aburrá Valley? Some of the results showed that the primary soft skills related to dream team leaders are communication, motivation, and staff development. The coherence between the leaders' self-perception and the collaborators' perception represents a link in itself. No differential factors were found based on the leadership styles used by the managers of both groups.Publicación Habilidades gerenciales en los emprendimientos que sobreviven : una exploración en catorce líderes antioqueños.(Juan José Arango, 2019) Uribe Muriel, Jorge Mario; López, FranciscoThis paper collects the self-perception of the managerial skills of fourteen entrepreneurs from Antioquia whose business projects have survived for more than ten years, and contrasts them with the perception of their collaborators. To do this, the qualitative methodology through the application of questionnaires with closed questions was used. The results show a great similarity between both perceptions, which is not only reflected in the trend lines, but also in the appreciation of the managerial skills; likewise, there is a great coincidence in the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of the auto-reports of the leaders. The best self-perceived aspect reported by the collaborators are the skills to motivate and develop the personnel, while the skills in time management and decision making are self-perceived and perceived as those with the greatest possibilities for improving.Publicación Impacto de la relación de las habilidades gerenciales y las variables financieras en la rentabilidad operativa : análisis para una muestra de mipymes colombianas(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Salazar Duque, Juan Victor; Morales Isaza, Sergio Andrés; Saavedra Caballero, FabiolaThis research aims to create, from a multiple linear regression model, an empirical contribution to determine how the characteristics and skills of managers, in addition to the financial variables traditionally used, relate to and impact the profitability and sustainability of micro, small and medium-sized companies in the Colombian context. To achieve this objective, we used the financial and managerial information of 2016 of 35 Colombian MiPymes companies from different economic sectors; 25 financial ratios were calculated through the financial statements, 10 management skills were measured through surveys and 10 characterization variables were defined related to each company and its manager to be used as independent variables in a multiple linear regression model using the EBITDA margin as a dependent variable in order to represent the profitability and sustainability of these companies. It was found that some characteristic variables of the managers and senior managers of the companies, such as their self-confidence, their affinity to face new challenges, their role, among others, significantly affect the behavior of the EBITDA Margin, demonstrating that there is a relationship between the way these managers make decisions and the performance of the company.
