To survive the new competitors, banks are obliged to think of a digital transformation strategy that helps in the adoption of technology for the improvement of their processes and the generation of a new offer of value that is attractive to consumers of the new generations. The present work intends to analyze the impact that the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the Colombian financial sector for to propose adaptations to the digital strategy and the administration of human talent.Ítem Competencias, factores apalancadores y obstaculizadores del alto desempeño en un grupo de colaboradores de una organización en proceso de transformación digital(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Zuleta Ariza, Luis Eduardo; Orejueja Gómez, Jonny JavierObjective: To identify competencies, leverage factors and obstacles to high performance in a group of partners in an organization in process of digital transformation. Methods: A qualitative approach study that is conducted through a case study based on a qualitative survey and semi-structured interviews. Results: A single person does not have all the competencies to perform autonomously in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and therefore in digital transformation processes, it requires teams with multiple competencies, knowledge and strengths that can complement each other. Individually, competencies such as openness to change, proactivity, specific knowledge, communication, analytical skills, problem solving, service orientation and handling of IT tools allow a correct performance of the partners; on the other hand, skills such as teamwork, use of IT tools, information management and communication need to be further developed to allow employees achieve optimum performance; in addition, the competencies are changing their meaning and becoming more challenging in this modern context. Conclusions: It is evident that the existing and necessary competencies, the favorable conditions and the strategies for the partners and the organization to perform in the best way in this context, are oriented to give more value and to promote the human qualities in favor of this change. The organization is committed to this process and recognises it as strategic and necessary to achieve sustainability over time.Ítem Conocimiento del capital intelectual en las grandes empresas antioqueñas(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Sánchez Garrido, Leonardo; Mesa Velásquez, Gloria Stella; Uribe Correa, BeatrizThe main changes that have taken place in the world economy involve companies that remain in force in the 21st century. These areas are also constantly exchanging existing practices and knowledge not only within the organization but also outside of it. They are responsible of incorporating and integrating new technologies with the final purpose of keeping themselves up to date with the company and its goals while constantly generating results that guarantee sustainability. Nowadays exists an area capable of gathering all these functions in one place, the Centers of Excellence. These Centers will be the target of analysis within this research under the modality of exploratory study. This is due to the fact that up to this date, in our industry, very few investigations exist that describe the main functions, different types and essential capabilities that these centers need to have in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in which a series of cognitive technologies have been enhanced. These technologies have the capacity of performing tasks that only humans used to be able to do so due to previously acquired knowledge. This analysis was performed in three stages: In the first two, the main definitions, characteristics and tones for the main concepts of the Centers of Excellence, Fourth Industrial Revolution and cognitive technologies are explained individually. The last stage concludes with a depth analysis of the cognitive technologies that need to be incorporated in The Centers to achieve the categorization of Cognitive Centers of Excellence.Ítem La Inteligencia Artificial aplicada al área de recursos humanos : una aproximación al estado del arte de la cuestión(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Rodríguez Hernández, Sandra Milena; Orejuela Gómez, Jonny JavierThe objective of this Systematic Literature Review (RSL) is to establish the state of the art regarding the use of artificial intelligence in human management processes. The method used is classified into four phases, the research of the study of documentary type, descriptive and bibliographic review. Among the findings, the advantages and disadvantages of the use of AI were identified, as well as the major concepts used in each of the investigations, another result was the type of study that was developed with greater prevalence, in the same way it was identified which were the instruments of information collection, the participating subjects and the main findings. In conclusion, the findings demonstrate the positive impact that AI has had on organizations when it comes to managing human capital and in the research community it has generated great interest in the ethical dilemmas that it entails.Ítem A Method for Detecting Coffee Leaf Rust through Wireless Sensor Networks, Remote Sensing, and Deep Learning: Case Study of the Caturra Variety in Colombia(Universitatea Politehnica Bucuresti, 2020-01-19) Velasquez, D.; Sánchez, A.; Sarmiento Garavito, Sebastián; Toro, M.; Maiza Galparsoro, Mikel; Sierra Araujo, Basilio; Velasquez, D.; Sánchez, A.; Sarmiento Garavito, Sebastián; Toro, M.; Maiza Galparsoro, Mikel; Sierra Araujo, Basilio; Universidad EAFIT. Departamento de Ingeniería de Sistemas; I+D+I en Tecnologías de la Información y las ComunicacionesAgricultural activity has always been threatened by the presence of pests and diseases that prevent the proper development of crops and negatively affect the economy of farmers. One of these pests is Coffee Leaf Rust (CLR), which is a fungal epidemic disease that affects coffee trees and causes massive defoliation. As an example, this disease has been affecting coffee trees in Colombia (the third largest producer of coffee worldwide) since the 1980s, leading to devastating losses between 70% and 80% of the harvest. Failure to detect pathogens at an early stage can result in infestations that cause massive destruction of plantations and significantly damage the commercial value of the products. The most common way to detect this disease is by walking through the crop and performing a human visual inspection. As a result of this problem, different research studies have proven that technological methods can help to identify these pathogens. Our contribution is an experiment that includes a CLR development stage diagnostic model in the Coffea arabica, Caturra variety, scale crop through the technological integration of remote sensing (through drone capable multispectral cameras), wireless sensor networks (multisensor approach), and Deep Learning (DL) techniques. Our diagnostic model achieved an F1-score of 0.775. The analysis of the results revealed a p-value of 0.231, which indicated that the difference between the disease diagnosis made employing a visual inspection and through the proposed technological integration was not statistically significant. The above shows that both methods were significantly similar to diagnose the disease. © 2020 by the authors.Ítem A Method for Detecting Coffee Leaf Rust through Wireless Sensor Networks, Remote Sensing, and Deep Learning: Case Study of the Caturra Variety in Colombia(Universitatea Politehnica Bucuresti, 2020-01-19) Velasquez, D.; Sánchez, A.; Sarmiento Garavito, Sebastián; Toro, M.; Maiza Galparsoro, Mikel; Sierra Araujo, Basilio; Universidad EAFIT.
