    This article aims to provide a set of tools that contribute to the consolidation of the knowledge of the flutists, so that they can get to know their instrument from a technical perspective, instead of from an artistic conception -- It is about presenting and describing the physical and mechanical aspects of the instrument in order to define both its options and characteristics -- When the players select a musical instrument, mistakes are often made due to lack of knowledge of either the available flute options or particular needs as a person -- To make clear the variables and concepts in the manufacture of flutes will allow to reduce the wrongs about the information, that, by oral tradition of the flutists, is transmitted today from teacher to student
