Ítem Análisis de la torrencialidad en las microcuencas de las quebradas La Arenala y El Sesteadero (Itagüi, Antioquia)(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Ramírez Jaramillo, Claudia Samanta; Sarmiento Contreras, Nicole Stefany; Gamboa Ramírez, Marco Fidel; Marín Cerón, María IsabelÍtem Geodiversidad en la cuenca La García como aporte a la gestión territorial en el Bosque Modelo del Valle de Aburrá(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Rojas Serna, Juan Pablo; Ortiz Correa, Sol Celeste; Bedoya Sanmiguel, Oscar GeovanyIn this project, the geodiversity of the García stream basin (Bello) is estimated. The methods of Valentín (geostatistics) are used, modified with the diversity of morphometric indices (sensu Argyryus), validated with a preliminary inventory of Geological Interest Sites (GIS´s). The final map identified two areas with a high geodiversity index in the southeast and southwest of the basin (corresponding to the Páramo de las Baldías and Cerro Quitasol areas). This process identified that the geodiversity of the landscape analyzed is limited by tectonics, climate, and fluvial and depositional processes associated with slope instability and flash floods generated in the main drainage of the García stream. When compared to the adjacent basin to the south (Iguaná and El Hato), similar characteristics are established, and therefore shared strategies within the Bosque Modelo del Valle de Aburrá, as pilots for the future of Living Classrooms that allow the management of risk associated with flash floods, which must be articulated by the National and San Buenaventura universities, located in this territory. In this case, a first draft of an infographic is proposed for dissemination as a tool for the Social Appropriation of Geoscientific Knowledge (SAGK), with the aim of contributing to the transfer of knowledge to communities in the near future.
