Ítem Estrategias de retención de talento y expectativas de la generación Y o generación de los millennials: estudio de caso en una empresa colombiana multilatina(Universidad EAFIT, 2018) Cobo Piedrahíta, Ingrid Tatiana; López Gallego, FranciscoThe corporative of a conglomerate of companies includes the company case of study of this work, a Colombian family society of more than one hundred years of existence, and indicates that it is a multinational company constituted by a conglomerate of twenty thousand collaborators, with presence in thirteen countries, that offers business solutions leveraged in the technologies of the information attending the sectors of consumption and industry, financial and insurance, and government and health, among others -- In Latin America it operates in Mexico, Peru, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Colombia, with nine thousand employees, of which 220 are in Medellin, and, of these, 60% belong to the so-called Generation Y or millennial -- Objective: to verify the effectiveness of the deliberate strategies of retention of human talent with the expectations of the millennial employees of the of the company case study -- Methodology: a method of qualitative modality was used, through interviews that sought to answer questions about the demographic characteristics of the employees, the knowledge and information about this generation, the reasons and positive effects or not of the retention strategies, and the motivations and expectations that millennials face when they stay in the company -- Results: it was found that there are no deliberate retention strategies on the part of the company, specifically for the millennial generation -- However, there are ideas and expectations aligned with the characteristics of such a generation, for example, job and academic growth, and programs that allow the use of this workforce in terms of innovation, technological skills and new ways of thinking
