Publicación Las contribuciones de la ERP de una empresa de proyectos de infraestructura para la toma de decisiones gerenciales(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Correal Rodríguez, Néstor Augusto; Uribe Marín, Ricardo; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz AmparoObjective: To evaluate the contributions of the ERP of an infrastructure project company for managerial decision making. Conceptual reference framework: The main elements of the work are the contributions of integrated information systems (ERP) to the management of infrastructure projects. Method: It is descriptive, diagnostic. The qualitative case study method is used, where a comprehensive perspective is considered for the analysis of multiple cases. Surveys were conducted with open responses to 12 company employees with managerial positions, project managers and process leaders. Results: The obtained data allowed us to understand the perception that the interviewed subjects have about the advantages and disadvantages of the implementation of ERP systems in companies. In the same sense, the necessary processes were identified during the planning, monitoring-control and closing stages infrastructure projects and, finally, some improvement proposals were presented to the ERP model for making managerial decisions in accordance with the ERP-projects integration. Conclusions: The advantages and disadvantages of the implementation of ERP systems in companies are evident. Iin the development of the research the need to integrate some necessary processes during the planning, monitoring-control and closing stages of infrastructure projects was identified. Participating subjects presented some improvement proposals to the ERP model for managerial decision making in accordance with the ERP-projects integration.Publicación Lecciones aprendidas de la implementación del módulo de gestión de proyectos de un ERP SAP para las nuevas instalaciones en una empresa de transporte vertical en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Mesa Vanegas, Luis Javier; Garnica Baraza, Ernesto JoséThe implementation of a project module of an ERP system in a company is a complex and expensive process that requires an additional effort to be able to take advantage of its benefits into the organization, hoping to impact the profitability and efficiency of the business unit. Therefore, generating a compendium of lessons learned from the implementation process is a mandatory exercise that must be carried out to ensure better practices in future implementations. In this work, the results obtained after investigating and collecting stakeholder data based on surveys, interviews and panel of expert judgment work are evaluated and analyzed, resulting in the description of the capitalizations of shares implemented from the hierarchy and prioritization of lessons learned measured by the impact and probability of occurrence and generating final recommendations for the projects that will be in progress or are planned to be carried out in other branches of the company, as well as meeting points for projects with some relationship, which allows taking as a starting point the positive actions developed during this work and not to repeat common or typical errors of these computer projects.Publicación Propuesta de diseño para una metodología que permita integrar en una sola herramienta de gestión a Lean Manufacturing Teoría de Restricciones(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Valencia García, Guillermo Federico; Hernández, Juan David; Giraldo Hernández, Gina MaríaThe main purpose of this research was to develop a methodological proposal that harmoniously integrates two key approaches in process optimization: Lean Manufacturing and the Theory of Constraints (TOC). These two tools are globally recognized for their ability to consistently improve business results. However, their methods differ significantly: while Lean Manufacturing focuses on reducing waste throughout the value chain, TOC focuses on minimizing the impact at specific points, called constraints. This disparity carries notable advantages and disadvantages. Lean Manufacturing drives improvements throughout the chain and promotes a culture of continuous improvement, although its implementation can be slower and more expensive. On the other hand, TOC, by focusing on restrictions, obtains faster and more forceful results. However, its long-term impact may be limited due to the displacement of the constraint along the chain. To achieve an integrated methodology, a bibliographic review and interviews with experts in Lean Manufacturing and TOC were carried out. The interviews carried out sought to understand in a practical way how these methodologies behave in the companies analyzed. These actions allowed us to define, in six steps, a tool that seeks to take advantage of the best of each approach and avoid conflicts, generating a complementary process. The resulting methodology, based on theoretical and practical information, aims to optimize operational excellence, generating more reliable and flexible processes, which facilitates adaptation to market expectations.
