An applied qualitative study (single case, participatory action research) was developed with eight microentrepreneurs, integrating semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and co-creation workshops. The transcripts were processed in IRaMuTeQ using similarity analysis, descending hierarchical classification (Reinert), and factorial correspondence analysis, complemented by triangulation of sources. The findings reveal decisions made under high uncertainty, recurrent dependence on accounting advice, and tensions between immediate liquidity and professionalization. In addition, formalization and digitization (electronic invoicing, taxes, and banking) reconfigure routines and are modulated by attitudinal factors (fear, discipline, perseverance). As a result, the “Raíces y Estrategia Living Laboratory” was co-designed, with micro-challenges, a toolbox, and digital/community mediation aimed at continuous improvement, replicable and evaluable in future implementations.Publicación Diseño de un observatorio ciudadano ambiental, con enfoque de gobernanza participativa para fortalecer la gestión integral de residuos sólidos en el municipio de Tauramena, Casanare(Universidad EAFIT, 2026-03-02) Parra Leguízamo, Neyla; Álvarez Vanegas, Alejandro; N/AThis project addresses the structural weaknesses in integrated solid waste management in the municipality of Tauramena, Casanare, Colombia. Despite the existence of a formal waste collection system, low recovery rates (approximately 22%), the presence of 12 critical dumping sites, limited environmental awareness, and weak interinstitutional coordination reveal deficiencies in environmental governance. The central problem lies in the absence of a participatory mechanism capable of articulating stakeholders, generating reliable local data, and promoting shared responsibility in waste management. A qualitative research design with an exploratory-descriptive scope was adopted to understand social dynamics, perceptions, and institutional conditions influencing waste management practices. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with key actors, including public officials, community leaders, recyclers, waste generators, and representatives from the education sector. Direct field observation and a comparative analysis of eight national and international environmental observatories complemented the study. Thematic content analysis and methodological triangulation were applied to ensure validity and contextual understanding. The main outcome of the research is the design of the Participatory Citizen Environmental Observatory of Tauramena (OCAPTA), conceived as a governance tool integrating an organizational structure, an environmental indicator system, community monitoring nodes, information flows, and phased implementation strategies. The proposal aims to strengthen transparency, citizen participation, environmental education, and evidence-based public decision-making, contributing to sustainable territorial management aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.Publicación Diseño participativo de un manual comunitario para el fortalecimiento de capacidades y control de la cadena de valor forestal para las mujeres afrocolombianas en el Darién chocoano(Universidad EAFIT, 2026-02-13) Victoria Quejada, Brenda Paola; Vélez Zapata, SaraThis research design develops a Community Visual Manual for Forest Traceability and Legality with a gender focus for Afro-Colombian communities in the Darién region of Chocó. The study employs a qualitative participatory action research methodology and participatory design with women leaders from Riosucio, Carmen del Darién, and Nuevo Belén de Bajirá. The main outcome is a technical tool based on ancestral iconography that democratizes access to forestry regulations and strengthens women's territorial governance. The study concludes that women's technical empowerment is crucial for environmental sustainability and the professionalization of the forestry value chain under the principles of social management. Using a qualitative approach and a case study framework, the methodology integrated co-creation with women leaders from the municipalities of Riosucio, Carmen del Darién, and Nuevo Belén de Bajirá. The main outcome was the design of a visual tool that uses ancestral iconography—such as machete marks and rula symbols—to democratize access to forestry legality. It is concluded that the technical empowerment of women not only professionalizes the value chain in contrast to the traditional male role, but is also crucial for environmental sustainability. By leading traceability and natural regeneration processes (respecting the "parent trees"), women ensure the sustainability of forest resources and the economic autonomy of their territories. This intervention demonstrates that, through Social Management, it is possible to transform ancestral knowledge into tools of technical power and territorial governance.Publicación Puentes que conectan lo común.
