To answer the question, a descriptive qualitative research was carried out in which 5 older adults participated from the city of Medellín belonging to a medium-high socioeconomic stratum. The results show a positive, optimistic and critical attitude towards old age at such a time in the life cycle, as is also recognized by the act of wearing a form of language that communicates and seeks to be heard by a society that, within the framework of the system of fashion, has been indifferent to this population in constant demographic growth.
