Ítem Prácticas aconsejables y desaconsejables en la dirección de equipos de proyectos multigeneracionales : una exploración en empresas del sector energético de Medellín(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Mejía Varga, Laura; Molina Vásquez, María Paulina; López Gallego, Francisco DaríoThis thesis lists advisable and inadvisable practices in managing multigenerational project teams in energy sector companies in Medellín. Trough a qualitative approach, semi-structured interviews were conducted with project managers to identify the specific characteristics and challenges of each generation in the workplace. The generations included in the study are Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z, each with their own motivations and work styles. The analysis found that the main challenges include differences in communication styles, work expectations, and technology usage. The importance of adaptation, effective communication, and management strategies that promote collaborative work is highlighted to address these challenges. Additionally, the assignment of roles considering the strengths and weaknesses of team members, creating spaces for intergenerational learning, and implementing policies of inclusion and mutual respect are emphasized. The less effective practices identified include the lack of flexibility in leadership styles and not valuing and recognizing the skills and perspectives of younger generations.
