Departamento de Ingeniería Mecánica; Estudios en Mantenimiento (GEMI)Maintenance during industrial development has evolved, always seeking the in-depth study of the physical phenomena that occur in the elements and systems that have suffered functional failures. Maintenance has been adapted to each challenge presented. The progress and development of computer science have opted for the massive use of information and communication technologies that support industrial processes, generating new possibilities in maintenance management and operation. These tools could contribute to improving the efficiency of maintenance processes, taking into account that these costs represent a third of the total production cost in an organization. This work seeks to identify the evolution of these technological tools in the applications that they have had in representing the physical phenomena of maintenance management. This research also seeks to establish the minimum requirements that these tools must consider in their applications and uses. Considering the appropriation of these technologies in Colombia, in order to determine where the country is in terms of development and technological use, being important information for the recognition of the scenario and decision-making that prevail in a competitive Colombian industry world level. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.Ítem Aprende a gestionar tu negocio / María Antonia Núñez... Departamento de Ingeniería de Diseño; Ingeniería de Diseño (GRID)Decision-making activities affect to a larger extent the quality, cost, time and success of a product. However, there are fewer alternatives when it comes to supporting in aesthetic evaluation during the product design stages. Therefore, is proposed a Crowdsourcing Augmented Reality Environment (CARE) that use the user's mobile devices for getting the feedback from the evaluation of products using a Semantic Differential (SD) that consider the user's context-light interaction in real time. Finally, two products were evaluated using CARE vs. the real products under different lighting and surrounding conditions. Obtaining a similar measure of products aesthetic perception between CARE and the real product, with slight variations. Additionally, an evaluation pattern among users was recognizable in the same context with slight variations using different lighting setup, that was similarly recreated with CARE. © 2018 Elsevier B.V.Ítem Decisión de apalancamiento relacionado con los impactos económicos empresariales : estructura de capital de las compañías que cotizan en bolsa(Universidad EAFIT, 2018) Quintero Quintero, Julián Andrés; Rueda Beltrán, Fanny; Restrepo Barth, SimónStarting from the case that there’s no optimal capital structure and that the impact of the companies’ debt level is required to be assessed, this paper analyses the factors that usually the financial administrators take into account in order to decide whether acquire, raise, maintain or avoid debt. Departamento de Administración; Administración y OrganizacionesNormally the decision to implement investment projects in companies has an orientation toward a goal: prioritization of technical/financial (profit maximization or cost minimization), although there are other important objectives for the company. In this case, it is assumed that the other objectives are implied in the central objective. Because of this, objectives leading to non-profitable goals are often underestimated (such as managerial, coordinating, organizational, human, cultural, among others), which often leads to mistakes in the implementation stage of projects. In Knowledge Management (KM) Projects something similar can occur since important aspects can be ignored and this can help avoiding mistakes in their execution. Thus, some authors believe that when it comes to decision-making processes with different objectives, centralized tools or techniques on a single target are not the most relevant. Because of this, since the nineteen seventies, decision-making tools under multi objective or multi criteria approach have been developed. These tools allow a broader and comprehensive decision-making process in companies. In this sense, this paper proposes a methodology for guiding multi criteria decision-making processes to support the implementation of KM projects in companies. The method considers the stages of a decision-making process, besides the usage of multi objective analysis techniques. The proposed methodology gives a comprehensive view of decision-making, using qualitative and quantitative tools to support the implementation of KM projects in companies. The proposal stems from a reflexive qualitative research on the processes of implementation of KM in Colombian companies.Ítem Democracia deliberativa y sus críticas = Deliberative democracy and its critics(Universidad EAFIT, 2012-03) Tabares Cifuentes, Juliana; Universidad EAFITÍtem Desempeño del sector cooperativo en Colombia durante el 2020 ante la pandemia del Covid-19(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Mantilla Boscan, Gabriel Esteban; Bulla Robayo, Jhonathan Javier; Vergara Garavito, Judith CeciliaÍtem Emoción y razón en la decisión de compra en restaurantes de lujo(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Mejía Orozco, María Paulina; Manrique Tisnes, HoracioObjective. To determine the influence of the emotion-reason relationship in a group of people from Medellin, who are between 18 and 28 years old, when making purchase decisions in high-class restaurants. Method. The type of research was also a qualitative study with a cross-sectional scope, and a phenomenological-hermeneutic investigative approach. Results. During the analysis of results, it was possible to identify 7 categories (emotion, prices, company, services, motivation, relevant factors and consumer experience) and 32 subcategories, and from them the data structure could be created. Conclusions. It is suggested that the purchase decision is largely influenced by the emotional factors of the subject, these being the most relevant to make a decision, generate a concept or perform an action. On the other hand, rational processing is influenced by emotions and this in turn generates new emotional responses in the subject, which allows a purchase decision to be generated.Ítem Empatía y toma de decisiones en la entrevista de selección de personal : una aproximación teórica(Universidad Eafit, 2020) Restrepo Correa, Alejandra; Manrique Tisnés, HoracioObjective: stablish the importance of empathy on decision making in the process of em-ployee’s selection with the propose of contribute to the knowledge generated towards a subprocess of selection in the human management areas. Departamento de Ingeniería de Sistemas; I+D+I en Tecnologías de la Información y las ComunicacionesAdvances in technology and an increase in the amount and complexity of data that are generated in healthcare have led to an indispensable revolution in this sector related to big data. Analytics of information based on multimodal clinical data sources requires big data projects. When starting big data projects in the healthcare sector, it is often necessary to assess the maturity of an organization with respect to big data, i.e., its capacity in managing big data. The assessment of the maturity of an organization requires multicriteria decision making as there is no single criterion or dimension that defines the maturity level regarding big data but an entire set of them. Based on the ISO 15504, this article proposes a fuzzy ELECTRE structure methodology to assess the maturity level of small- and medium-sized enterprises in the healthcare sector. The obtained experimental results provide evidence that this methodology helps to determine and compare maturity levels in big data management of organizations or the evolution of maturity over time. This is also useful in terms of diagnosing the readiness of an organization before starting to implement big data initiatives or technologies. © 2018, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.Ítem A fuzzy negotiation model to assign variable's domain in constraint satisfaction problems: An agent based collaborative engineering modeling case(IOS PRESS, 2012-01-01) Mejía-Gutiérrez, R.; Cálad-Álvarez, A.; Zuluaga-Holguín, D.; Universidad EAFIT. Departamento de Ingeniería de Diseño; Ingeniería de Diseño (GRID)Knowledge sharing among partners from a distributed engineering team is becoming more critical for decision making. The work presented in this article proposes to support users of an agent based application for collaborative product design, during the definition of an engineering problem under a Constraint Satisfaction Problem (CSP) approach. The scope of this work covers the domains definition for variables from the CSP distributed model. A semiautomatic negotiation model is proposed in order to give users suggestions about a preferred domain for a variable that is used for more than one expert. A set of quantitative indexes measure the competence that users have over variables in the model, helping the system in decision making. A fuzzy inference system is used to calculate user's competence index and suggestions are made based on a fuzzy approach in order to achieve trade-offs in collaborative domains definition. © 2012 The authors and IOS Press.
