Additionally, the work presents a measurement of transport costs and the increase they have had in the 2017-2018 period in Wire Mesh Corporation (WMC), reviewing figures, statistical data, reports of the transport industry and the drivers which have led to companies that offer transportation services to drastically increase their rates due to the lack of drivers and the changes in the contractual conditions they must offer in the labor market to attract new ones. Another of the analysis developed in this paper shows the regions of origin of the goods, the relationship of truck loads and the impact on transport costs that Wire Mesh Corporation (WMC) has suffered due to the lack of trucks. In reference to the theoretical framework of this paper, the concept of costs and how these have affected the gross profit margin of Wire Mesh Corporation (WMC) are explained. Finally, it is important to advise that this paper is based on real and recent figures on the economy and the legal framework of transport in the United States to assess the impact of transportation costs on a real sector company over time. Thus, it is expected that with this document the sales and financial departments of Wire Mesh Corporation (WMC) will be able to make decisions based on actual transportation costs.
