The use of this methodological strategy, with research techniques such as survey, observation, documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews, allowed a systemic analysis of the territory and the management of the actors involved in it; as well as, knowing their potential, culture, participation, bottlenecks and future prospects. -- The research findings show that the population has managed to take advantage of the natural and ecological capital of their territory, Lomas de Lucumo, through the implementation of Community-Based Rural Tourism in the area, thus creating an important source generating income. Such is the case, that at present, the Community-Based Rural Tourism is the main economic activity developed in the Village Center. Likewise, the presence of co-management in the territory was evidenced, through participation, cooperation and trusting relationships between public and private institutions and grassroots social organizations. These aspects have contributed to the promotion of local economic development in the Quebrada Verde Rural Village Center. -- The thesis also mentions that there are actions to be improved such as generating the participation of more sectoral grassroots organizations, strengthening trust relationships between the intervening actors in the territory for the sustainable local economic development of Quebrada Verde; and in this way optimize co-management and tourism activity in the area, consolidating them as key axes to achieve a greater impact in favor of the local economy.
