    Análisis de la relación entre las variables macroeconómicas y el pago de dividendos de las compañías en Latinoamérica : estudio de caso para Colombia, México, Brasil, Chile y Perú

    This study presents an analysis of the relationship between macroeconomic variables and the dividend payment of Latin American companies. For this purpose, a sample of public companies from 5 countries in the region (Colombia, México, Brazil, Chile and Peru) was used for the period 1995-2021, through information extracted from the Refinitiv database, and for macroeconomic variables information extracted from the World Bank was used. In order to achieve the objective of analyzing this potential relationship, a panel data model with a Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) estimation was developed. As a result, a positive relationship with GDP was observed, as in all countries, but only significant in Brazil, Chile and Peru. In addition, there is a negative relationship with inflation and tax rate. However, this negative relationship is not observed in the same way in all countries analyzed and in most of them it lacks statistical significance. On the other hand, an analysis of the behavior of dividends in economic crisis is presented. Finally, it is concluded that despite the fact that in all countries there is an effect of macroeconomic variables (GDP (+) and Inflation (-)) on dividends, there is a heterogeneous effect depending on the country of analysis and on the characteristics of each firm.

    Poder adquisitivo de los trabajadores cuenta propia del espacio informal en un centro poblacional de la cordillera de los Andes : implicaciones de las decisiones financieras básicas

    The purpose of this graduate work is to know the purchasing power of self-employed workers, who work on a daily basis in the informal space of the internal economic activity, in a municipality in the Andes mountain range. The above, adjusted to the concept of Economic and Financial Education of the Bank of the Republic. For its outline, the behaviors, knowledge and competencies of the informal self-employed workers, who are part of the labor market in Colombia, were studied. Data were collected through a personalized consultation, by means of a Google form, to inquire about sociodemographic variables; purchasing power and basic financial knowledge. Once the information was collected and analyzed, the purchasing power and application of basic financial concepts of workers were determined and statistical tests and models were developed to explore and verify the model. Finally, the research and fieldwork results are presented in two stages, descriptive and analytical.

    Recomendaciones para administración de riesgo de liquidez en la Caja de Compensación Familiar de Risaralda

    Comfamiliar Risaralda has been facing liquidity challenges for the last three years. This work is a comprehensive analysis based on different reports, indicators and cash flows from 2018 to 2020, in a consolidated manner and for each of the areas of the institution. The previous results showed difficulties in this matter for 2018 and 2019. Although in 2020 the temporary measures of the pandemic helped to cushion the negative trend, with the withdrawal of these supports, liquidity problems could worsen even more. This document is the first academic and institutional effort to design a series of best practices to correct structural problems and make Comfamiliar Risaralda a reference in liquidity management in Colombia
