Ítem La inercia tonal : estado de la cuestión de la música contemporánea en la educación musical(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Ortega Ramírez, David; García de Castro, FedericoThe present state of the art compiles the main woks in Spanish language writings on contemporary music in the educational context, all of them developed in Spain, presenting the general situation in this topic. The main concern of these works is the absence of the contemporary repertoire in the educational processes, revealing in some way an outdatedness with respect to contemporary musical practices, also inquiring about the reason for this situation and how to emend it. Additionally, this relationship is discussed from the point of view of teachers, who are the first accountable in music education, and from the students. On the other hand, some examples are presented where this music has been implemented in classrooms, presenting themselves as positive cases of aesthetic openness in training, moving towards a development of attitude and critical sense above technical and specific skills of the tonal system.
