Publicación La gestión estratégica del conocimiento organizacional como propulsor de la ventaja competitiva y generación de valor en Laboratorios ECAR(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Álvarez Murillo, Natalia Andrea; Díez Gaviria, Ana CeciliaThis degree work explores the importance of the strategic management of organizational knowledge as a driver of competitive advantage in Laboratorios ECAR, a company with 89 years of experience in the Colombian pharmaceutical industry. Faced with challenges related to the preservation, documentation and updating of critical knowledge, this research seeks to propose a strategic route for its management, aligned with corporate objectives and the dynamics of the sector. Based on a qualitative approach and the action-research methodology, the study actively involves managers and middle managers of the organization, integrating their perspectives in the diagnosis, analysis and improvement proposals. Through collaborative workshops and surveys, the company's core knowledge was identified, assessing its level of documentation, external availability, barriers to its transfer, frequency of updating and alignment with the organization's strategic horizons. The results reveal that, although there is an effort to document and manage certain key knowledge, there are still significant gaps that limit its accessibility and strategic use. It also revealed the need to strengthen internal training, optimize knowledge flows and prioritize innovation-oriented capabilities. This study culminates with a proposed route for core knowledge management, which seeks to ensure its sustainability, foster a culture of continuous learning and maximize the competitiveness of Laboratorios ECAR in a changing environment. The research not only offers a model that can be replicated in other companies in the sector, but also contributes to the academic and professional field, aligning with the principles of the Master's Degree in Innovation and Knowledge Management.
