Corporate governance (CG) has taken great relevance as a mechanism to foster an atmosphere of trust, transparency and accountability necessary to favor long-term investments, financial stability and business integrity -- The good practices of the CG strengthen the management and control bodies of the companies, defining policies and clear rules of the game, aimed at minimizing the risks derived from the conflict of interest, favoring the decision making and therefore raising the levels of financial performance -- That is why, through this work, we seek to analyze the relationship between the implementation of good CG practices, contained in the national corporate governance code surveys and the financial results of ConConcreto and Conciviles, two companies operating in the construction and infrastructure business -- To achieve this objective, two companies belonging to the same economic sector were compared, one of them has obtained a good financial performance while the other not so much
