    This work is based on a strategic opportunity identified by COTRAFA Cooperativa Financiera (Financial Cooperative), to offer the remittance payment service received from the United States in the entity's office channel, based on the fact that the recipients of these payments are, in their majority, of low strata, which corresponds to the segment assisted by the Cooperative. In order to give the Cooperative senior management a tool to decide whether or not to implement this service, a feasibility study is carried out, taking into account the methodologies defined by Baca (2013) and ONUDI et al. (1994), with the help of which the sectoral, market, financial, technical, organizational and legal conditions are evaluated, so that the Cooperative can offer this service in a viable and convenient way for the entity, considering the associated inherent risks to the provision thereof. The type of research is quantitative with a descriptive scope, and the information necessary for the study was obtained through interviews, the Cooperative's database and the existing bibliography on the subject, among other primary and secondary sources.
