    Technology Transfer (TT) has been playing an important role in the exchange of capacities of universities towards industries, having a close relationship with increasing levels of innovation and competitiveness for the regions -- That is the reason why more and more universities have committed themselves to strategies that strengthen the Technology Transfer mechanisms within them and that give them greater visibility in the regional and national environment -- In this dissertation, the development of a conceptual model for implementing an Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) at the University of Quindío (UQ) was proposed, since although the university has been involved in this aspect for a couple of years, it does not yet have a defined structure for the development of an area with the essential characteristics for the commercialization of technologies -- When looking for the best model, an analysis is made of the evolution of the concept and the TT process focusing on universities in the regional and global context, as well as different conceptual models over time -- These conceptual models, along with the characteristics of the UQ and its current situation, help to define the model, trying to satisfy with it the needs of both the university and the region
