Currently, these institutions primarily rely on conventional energy sources, leading to high operational costs and significantly contributing to the carbon footprint. In this context, the transition to renewable energy emerges as a key strategy to enhance energy efficiency, reduce costs, and promote environmental sustainability in the education sector. The research includes a detailed assessment of energy consumption in 25 educational institutions located in 11 municipalities of the department, aiming to establish the technical, regulatory, and financial requirements for the implementation of photovoltaic systems.
