    Análisis de impacto de la política de subsidios sobre la construcción de vivienda de interés social en Colombia

    The purpose of this paper is to analyze the impact of subsidies on the supply of social housing in Colombia, using some of the econometric methods of impact evaluaion -- The main results show that the policies of the subsidies that have been carried out in recent years, does not influence the number of completed social housing projects in the country -- In addition, a differences-in-differences estimator and a spatial analysis by department, are used to evaluate the influence of the granting of subsidies on the supply of social housing, measured by the number of licenses for construction by department -- The modeling, supports the results obtained by the impact evaluation and creates the question aimed at the adequate structuring of the public policies, directed to the sector of social housing in Colombia

    Análisis espacial de la informalidad laboral a nivel intra-urbano. El caso de Medellín, Colombia

    This paper examines the spatial dimension of informal employment at the intra-urban level -- Using data for the city of Medellín (Colombia) an exploratory analysis of spatial data is made and regression models with spatial dependence are estimated -- The results show that there are a series of socioeconomic and environmental characteristics that condition the decision of informality by the economic agents -- Likewise, it was identified that in zones of the south and the north of the city exist regions with exist important clusters of informality
